Some of these haven't been taken down from the shelf for many years, but, as with The Wood Behind Rokeham Church, The Oratory & The Dwelling, The Librarian is making a concerted effort to revisit old stories and ensure regular venues get a new story each time.
'Tales After Dark', Burton Library (July 2026)
With a staggering 85 people attending, The Librarian took great delight in bringing some chills to the warm summer evening.

This autumn, we are bringing our popular online readings back on September 30th, ushering in Spooky Season with this very special Weeping Bank tale.
We were spotlighted for the second time by Emma Dark... (June 2026)
after she joined us for a reading of 'Pock' at Old Red Lion Theatre in London, which, she writes, included "one heck of a jump scare".
"I actually thought it could make a great film adaptation," she continues, "as some of the horror was written so visually and viscerally".

Thanks to a recommendation from fellow writer & storyteller Adam Z. Robinson, we were invited to perform at this iconic festival. Selling out in just two weeks, it was a very special performance at the eerie Guy's Hospital Chapel.
